Mitch è innamorato di Lucy, che invece sposa Kyle. Ma Kyle, già alcolizzato, quando il medico gli dice che non può avere figli ricade nel vizio. Contrariamente al responso del medico, Lucy rimane incinta. Kyle, credendosi tradito, la picchia e la fa abortire. Mitch per difenderla lo uccide.
